The first two acts of MOUNTAIN OF THE CANNIBAL GOD are occassionally violent, but more or less, benign. However it’s the grisly and often explicit third act that will leave you slack-jawed and wondering “What the hell am I watching.”
The Devil himself may be to blame when nuns start turning up dead at a troubled convent in the 1980 nunsploitation masterpiece, THE OTHER HELL, a twisty tale full of gratuitous violence, insane dialog and sexual perversion.
Blurring the lines between skin flick, true crime, exploitation, ethnographic film, romance, murder mystery, and courtroom drama, AMAZONIA is a suprisingly potent and well-made Italian jungle film.
